Less Than 0.2% Acidity
The ELEONES Early Harvest Extra Virgin Olive Oil is produced from hand picked Hondrolia olives of Mt. Athos, Halkidiki during the year's first harvest. The Hondrolia variety is the largest olive out of all the Greek varieties and is a popular edible olive because of its high flesh to core ratio of 7-10:1.
The trees selected for the creation of the ELEONES Early Harvest Extra Virgin Olive Oil are only the best and healthiest from carefully selected groves. The olives used must be unripe green and still on the tree. Olives that have fallen to the ground are not used. The harvest takes place in mid September each year and lasts for a couple of weeks.
To ensure the best possible quality, ELEONES Early Harvest Extra Virgin Olive Oil is produced and bottle using the most stringent quality control standards which meet and exceed international standards.
Because ELEONES Early Harvest is produced from unripe olives it contains the highest levels of antioxidants like chlorophyll and polyphenol and has a very low acidity level of 0.14%, so it is uniquely delicious as is healthy.
